Eleven days away from the Republican primary for the U.S. Senate, Jeff Sessions’ campaign announced that he has $1.89 million cash on hand. Sessions’ FEC report also shows he raised $446,891 in the first 43 days of 2020, from January 1 – February 12.
Sessions announced his intention to run for the U.S. Senate on November 7th.
Jon Jones, Sessions’ campaign manager, issued the following statement on the strong fundraising numbers:
“We are in a strong position heading into the home stretch of the Republican primary. In a crowded field with rivals who have been campaigning for a year, Jeff Sessions has established himself as the firm frontrunner in this race. Jeff Sessions is the only proven conservative in this race, and he is going to be the Republican nominee who defeats Doug Jones in November.”
