Family Research Council Action PAC, a leading national conservative advocacy group, has endorsed Jeff Sessions in the race for U.S. Senate in Alabama. FRC Action PAC is the political action committee associated with the Family Research Council Action.
Tony Perkins, President of the Family Research Council Action, praised Sessions as a bold leader for religious liberty, the sanctity of life, and family values.
“This is a critical hour for our country and Americans are looking for bold leaders who are willing to stand strong for faith, family, and freedom. Jeff Sessions is such a leader. He understands the fundamental importance of protecting the right to life, the central role strong families must play if our country is to thrive, and Mr. Sessions knows that religious liberty is the bedrock of a truly prosperous nation,” Perkins said.
Perkins commended Sessions’ work to protect religious liberty.
“As United States Attorney General, Jeff Sessions demonstrated strong leadership by creating the religious liberty task force at the Department of Justice in order to protect the rights of men and women to live according to their deeply-held convictions. We know Jeff Sessions will continue to fight for these critical issues if he is elected to the United States Senate once again,” Perkins said.
“Jeff Sessions is the strong, conservative leader that Alabama needs, and I am proud to endorse his candidacy for the U.S. Senate,” Perkins concluded.
For his part, Sessions said the Family Research Council has been an invaluable ally.
“There has been a dangerous trend in this country that in many ways is hostile to the constitutional right of Americans to freely exercise their religious faith. The Family Research Council has been a leader in the fight against such trends. I appreciated their insights and advocacy as Senator and as Attorney General, and I look forward to standing with them in the future,” Sessions said.
