Monday, Congressman Mo Brooks (AL-05) and his district staff held a retirement party for outgoing chief of staff Mark Pettitt, whose retirement Congressman Brooks announced inan April 27th news release. Marshall Yates was subsequently named as chief of staff, and he has now assumed the role. At the party, Mark was presented with a commemorative Congressional Record entry heralding his patriotism and long, productive career.
Congressman Brooks said, “We’ll all miss Mark greatly. He has been a constant among my staff since I was first sworn in as a member of Congress. For nearly a decade, Mark has done a superb job managing my district and Washington staffs. He travelled between Huntsville and Washington almost weekly and sacrificed time with his loving family for years out of his deeply held sense of patriotism. America is better off having had Mark working hard looking out for her best interests. I am glad that we were all able to gather today to give Mark a proper send off befitting his dedicated service to America.”
