Molly Presnell Named CoSIDA Academic All-District Performer

HUNTSVILLE | The 2021 Academic All-District Volleyball Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors Association, were announced recently, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville was represented by Molly Presnell as a CoSIDA Academic All-District performer.
 
This is the first time Presnell has been awarded a CoSIDA Academic All-District distinction, as she represents the Chargers in District V which features teams from the Gulf South Conference, Sunshine State Conference and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
 
A native of Montgomery, Alabama, Presnell has been a leader for the Chargers both offensively and defensively, as she leads the team with 262 kills while rating second on the team with 331 digs.
 
She has posted 10 or more digs on 16 occasions so far, while notching double-digit kills in 10 matches. Presnell boasts four double-doubles with digs and kills as well.
 
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in mid-December.
 
The CoSIDA Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the links above, and are divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada.
 
The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2021-22 Divisions II and III Academic All-America programs.
