UAB Softball Adds Two More Players

BIRMINGHAM- UAB Softball has officially added two more players.

Olivia Nay and Kaily Collett are talented, fast players who will be expected to help the team for years to come.

OLIVIA NAY | OUTFIELDER | AUBURN, AL | AUBURN HIGH SCHOOL

Nay will join UAB mid-year from Auburn High, and she will be counted on to bring her talents to the squad, as well as her speed in the outfield.

Coach Joe Guthrie said, “Liv is going to be our first early high school graduate. She’ll join us in January. She brings speed, defense and can handle the bat. Her maturity is a plus to our team as well.”

KAILY COLLETT | UTILITY | LILBURN, GEORGIA | PARKVIEW HIGH SCHOOL

Collett comes to UAB next year after a decorated career at Parkview High School. The Blazers are eager to have her on the field, as well as her strong academic credentials.

“We are very excited that Kaily has chosen to join us.” Said Coach Guthrie. “She’s extremely bright, extremely athletic and works hard. She will help us.”
