McDuffie named SWAC Special Teams Player of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama State junior receiver Brandon McDuffie (San Antonio, Texas) was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Special Teams Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday.

McDuffie blocked a third quarter punt that resulted in a touchdown by Robert Rivers (Ocala, Fla.) giving Alabama State a lead near the end of the quarter that helped end a four-game losing streak. He also added a first quarter touchdown reception, his second in as many games.

Alabama State returns to action on Thanksgiving Day against Tuskegee at ASU Stadium. Kick is scheduled for 2 pm and the game will be carried on ESPN+.
