Wolf Pack hunt down Badgers, 91-66

MOBILE, Ala. (November 16, 2021) – The Spring Hill College (SHC) men’s basketball team opened the 2021-22 regular season with a 91-66 non-conference loss to their historic Jesuit rivals the Loyola University (La.) Wolf Pack on Tuesday night in the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
The NAIA’s 4th-ranked Wolf Pack (5-0) were paced by Brandon Davis with and Zach Wrightsil with 17 points apiece as the visitors from New Orleans shot 51.5% (34-66) overall and 41.9% (13-31) from 3-point distance. Loyola out-rebounded the Badgers 34-26.
Jaden Gray led the Badgers with 19 points while David Daniels added 17 and Sam Davidson put 10 points in the buckets. SHC shot 51.1% (24-47) from the floor and 23.5% (4-17) from 3-point range.
The Badgers (0-1) now travel to Daytona Beach, Fla. to open play in the Bahama House Classic versus the hosting Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) Eagles (4-0) at 7 p.m. (east) Friday in the ICI Center.
