Hornets face Iowa State at Hilton Coliseum on Tuesday night

AMES, Iowa | Alabama State plays their fourth consecutive road game to open the 2021-22 season on Tuesday night, facing Iowa State at 7 pm inside the Hilton Coliseum.

The meeting is the third between the two teams, with Iowa State (2-0) winning the previous two. The two teams have not met since the 2018 season.

  • Alabama State and Iowa State meet for the third time in school history on Tuesday, with Iowa State winning the previous two meetings including the last meeting in November 2018.
  • The game will mark the fourth of five consecutive road games for Alabama State to open the 2021-22 season, playing at Iowa on Thursday.
  • No current Hornet played against Iowa State the last time the two met, however, Gerald Liddell (Cibolo, Texas) played against the Cyclones as a member of the Texas Longhorns.
  • Juan Reyna (San Antonio, Texas) is the only Hornet to score in double figures in all three games, and currently leads the Hornets in scoring.
  • Jordan O’Neal (Mobile, Ala.) has scored in double figures in the last two games, including a career-high 12 in the loss at Missouri State.
  • Liddell scored a game-high 14 points for the Hornets in their last game, leading four players in double figures.
