Volleyball Closes Season With Loss at UAH

HUNTSVILLE, Ala – The West Alabama volleyball team was defeated by Alabama-Huntsville in three sets (25-21, 25-14, 25-14) inside Spragins Hall to finish the 2021 season. 
Madison Fisher led the Tigers offense with nine kills and Amelia Johnigan added 8. 
Defensively for the Tigers, MacKenzie Wells had a team-high of 25 digs and Desiree Blount had 19 assists and seven digs during the game. 
Kendall Scharbert led the way for UAH with 16 kills. She also led the Chargers in blocks recording six. Defensively, Shayla Libby had 17 digs.  
As a team, the Tigers had 32 kills on 112 swings for a .170 hitting percentage. The Tigers also added 32 assists and 57 digs. 
UAH had 44 kills on 120 swings which gave them a .292 hitting percentage. The Chargers added 41 assists and 57 digs for the game. 
The Tigers finish the season with a 1-23 overall record and a 1-14 conference record. The Chargers move to a 21-8 overall record and a 13-3 conference record.
