BREAKING: Shots Fired at Shell Gas Station on Greensboro Avenue

At least one person is injured after gunfire erupted at a gas station on Greensboro Avenue in Tuscaloosa Saturday night.

Stephanie Taylor, a spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said that officers responded to a call at 6:36 p.m. Saturday reporting shots fired from a vehicle at the Shell Station at 700 Greensboro Avenue.

A young woman was grazed, and declined medical treatment. At this time, it’s unclear whether the victim was in another car or if she was standing in the parking lot when she was struck.

The multi-agency Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit has assumed the investigation.

The Tuscaloosa VCU is comprised of detectives from the Tuscaloosa Police Department, the Northport Police Department, the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and the University of Alabama.

Together they investigate all violent crimes, unnatural deaths and sex crimes in Tuscaloosa County.
