Alabama State concludes season at cross country championships

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | Alabama State concluded the cross country season on Friday morning at the NCAA South Regional at the John Hunt Cross Country Course.

Shamia Jones (Albany, Ga.) crossed the line first for the Lady Hornets in a time of 24:30.61, finishing just behind Blayne Lachance of UT-Martin and Sydney Granack of South Florida. She finished 22 seconds ahead of her teammate, Rebecca Bernardin (Turks and Caicos Island) who crossed the line in a time of 24:52.69. She finished just behind Breanna Roy of UT-Martin.

Vinnelle Grant (Amityville, N.Y.) recorded a time of 25:17.07 to close out the race for Alabama State.
