PANTHERS MAKE HISTORY

Birmingham, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s basketball team dominates the Wesleyan Wolves 129-72 in the season opener. This game becomes the Panthers highest scored in program history outscoring last seasons game against Hendrix College with a 128-84 victory.
 
The Panthers battled it out in the first quarter leading the game 22-15. Going into the second quarter, BSC outscored the Wolves 37-11. The Wolves battled it out with the Panthers in the third quarter both scoring 30 points. The Panthers dominated the Wolves in the fourth quarter putting up 40 points and holding them to 16 points. 

Brooke Westhoelter led the Panthers with 21 points shooting 9-16 and recording 5 steals. Montana Harris recorded 18 points and led the Panthers in the paint with 7 rebounds. Mackenzie Raleigh was relentless on defense leading the team with 6 steals.
