UAH Concludes 2021 with Visit from UWA on Thursday

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville’s women’s soccer team will face a familiar foe at Charger Park Thursday evening as it plays host to West Alabama in the 2021 finale. The Chargers go into the game at 6-7-2 (4-6-1 Gulf South Conference), and the contest is slated for a 5 p.m. kick-off.
 
Admission for Thursday’s contest will be free courtesy of Alabama Credit Union as has been the case all season long.

The Chargers will be looking to close out the campaign on a high note, and they will look to continued offensive success from such contributors as Brynn Colvin and Carmen Endicott. Colvin enters Thursday’s contest with seven goals and two assists to total 16 points which ranks eighth in the GSC, while Endicott has four assists which is tied for fourth-best in the conference.
 
UWA comes to Huntsville at 8-5-2 (6-4-1 GSC) on the season and is 3-2-0 on away soil, and the squad is led by Dana Cruz who has seven goals and one assist for 15 points which ranks 11th in the conference.
 
UAH and UWA battled earlier this year in a non-conference contest where the Chargers were 1-0 winners in Livingston, with Helena Gonzalez providing the game-winner in the 30th minute for the team’s first win at Tiger Stadium since 2011. 
 
The all-time series is tiled in UWA’s favor at 9-3-1.
