Men’s Soccer Battles Alabama Huntsville in Thursday Night Match

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – West Alabama men’s soccer team battles Alabama Huntsville Thursday, Nov. 4 in an important Gulf South Conference matchup to determine if the Tigers clinch a spot in the GSC Championship Tournament. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Charger Park in Huntsville, Alabama. 

The Tigers head into the match with a 6-9 overall record and are 4-6 in GSC play. The Chargers are 7-6-2 overall and 4-5-1 in the conference. 

Leading UWA’s offense is midfielder Reda Ikarrain with five goals and two assists for 12 points. The Casablanca, Morocco has taken 27 shots with eight being on target.

Vince Stans leads in assists. The Sittard, Netherlands native has passed three assists and scored four goals for a total of 11 points. 

Harry Deveney is the Tigers’ goalie (3-6). The Liverpool, England native has recorded 18 saves in the nine matches played.

According to uahchargers.com, masks are not required but fans are encouraged to practice social distancing, utilizing the significant amount of outdoor space including in bleaching seating and in other areas where lawn chairs and blankets are permitted at Charger Park.
