MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State (12-14, 10-2 SWAC) will prepare to host Southern Mississippi in their final non-conference match of the season on Thursday, November 4 inside of Lockhart Gymnasium, beginning at 5 pm.
The Hornets look to add another win at home, before heading to Mississippi to face Mississippi Valley State and Jackson State on November 7 and 8 respectively for their final road trip of the year.

- The Hornets will look to extend their win streak to nine games with a win over the Eagles and have won 11 of their last 13 matches.
- Alabama State is coming off an undefeated weekend of conference play, sweeping both Texas Southern and Grambling while defeating Arkansas-Pine Bluff 3-1 all in Grambling, La.
- The Hornets have faced the Eagles four times, with three being under Coach Penny Lucas-White – Alabama State is currently 0-4 in the series.
- Alabama State displayed a balanced attack in the three matches last weekend, with Kalysia Bates (Phenix City, Ala.), Jada Rhodes (Tallahassee, Fla.) and Mahogany Vinson (Richton Park, Ill.) all recorded over 30 kills in three matches, while both setters in Madison Beasley (Gilbert, Ariz.) and McKenzie Boland (Stockbridge, Ga.) both dished out over 50 assists over the weekend.
