HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women’s soccer team is set to welcome two conference foes to Charger Park this weekend, hosting Shorter at 6 p.m. on Friday night before welcoming No. 2 Lee at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

The Chargers will honor the program’s nine seniors – Jessica Bissinger, Melanie Brannon, Brynn Colvin, Kailian Davis, Kelsey Kandil, Mackenzie Kandil, Marissa Miltko, Jillian Pilcher, and Devyn Thompson – on Friday night in a special ceremony prior to the contest.
The team will looking to get back on the right track against the Hawks, also, as UAH enters the contest on a three-game slide that has followed a streak of three positive results for the Chargers.
The Blue and White will look to turn the tide against a Shorter squad that visits the Rocket City with a 2-11-0 (1-9-0 Gulf South Conference) record and as losers of three straight. The team has scored just eight times on the season with both Erin Carter and Danielle Forsythe posting two goals and an assist to lead the squad.
The second-ranked Flames, meanwhile, enter their contest at West Alabama on Friday night with a perfect 13-0-0 (10-0-0 GSC) mark, outscoring their opponents by a 32-4 margin. Riley Henry sits at the top of Lee’s offensive ledger, having scored seven times while adding three assists for a team-best 17 points.
UAH is currently 6-5-0 all-time against Shorter and have won the last three in the series between the two programs, while Lee holds a 6-1-1 mark against the Chargers.
