Chris Terrell Receives Jack’s Player of the Week Honor

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Defensive end Chris Terrell has been named Jack’s Player of the Week for his effort against Delta State on Saturday, Oct. 23.

The Pensacola, Fla. native recorded six solo tackles against the Statesmen, five for a loss of 20 yards. He also had two sacks for 14 yards.

Despite the loss, the Tiger defense, led by Terrell and senior Josh Hatcher, held Delta State to 88 rushing yards and 225 passing yards for a total of 313 yards of total offense. Terrell is ranked second in the Gulf South Conference in sacks, third in solo tackles, and first in tackles for a loss.

Terrell and the rest of the West Alabama football team will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 30, when they travel to Tigerville, S.C., to take on North Greenville University. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CT/ noon ET inside Younts Stadium.
