Alabama A&M Men’s Basketball Releases 2021-22 Schedule featuring ACC, AAC and Sun Belt Conference Opponents

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Alabama A&M men’s basketball has announced a 29 game slate that includes games against teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), the American Athletic Conference (AAC) and the Sunbelt Conference (SBU).

The Bulldogs will get their season started at home against Tennessee State (1-21) on November 9, before traveling to Ohio Valley Conference semifinalist Jacksonville State (18-9) and current Atlantic Sun member on November 13. Three days later on November 16  A&M will play at AAC member Cincinnati (12-11) before battling Alabama-Birmingham (22-7) on November 21.
 
The Bulldogs will then face off against Conference USA finalist Western Kentucky (21-8) on November 24 before taking on in state rival North Alabama on December 8.
 
A&M will stay in Alabama as they head to Samford (6-13) on December 11 before battling Sunbelt Conference semifinalist Troy (11-17) on December 14. AAMU will then take on Indiana State (15-10) on December 18 and then face off against ACC member Georgia Tech (17-9) on December 23 before playing their last game of the year against Lipscomb (15-12) on December 30.
 
The Bulldogs will start 2022 with Southwest Athletic Conference (SWAC) action taking on Arkansas-Pine Bluff (4-21) on January 3. Two days later Alabama A&M will travel to Itta Bena, Mississippi as they will face Mississippi Valley State (2-18) on January 5. From there AAMU will return home to battle Jackson State (12-6) on January 10.
 
Five days later A&M will head to rival Alabama State (4-15) on January 15 and they will then face one of their toughest challenges of the season as they take on Texas Southern (17-9) on January 22. The Tigers are the 2021 SWAC Champions and their efforts led them to the 2021 NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs will remain in Texas as they battle Prairie View A&M (16-5) on January 24.
 
 Alabama A&M will then return home to take on SWAC newcomers Florida A&M (8-12) on January 29 and then Bethune-Cookman (16-14) on January 31. Up next A&M will tackle Southern (8-11) on February 5 before playing SWAC semifinalist, Grambling (12-12) two days later.

The Bulldogs will return home facing off against MVSU on February 12 and then UAPB on February 14. AAMU will then head to the State of Florida to battle against B-CU on February 19 and then FAMU two days later.
 
 Up next the Bulldogs will face ASU on February 26 at Elmore Gymnasium. Staying in the Rocket City, A&M will host Grambling on March 3 and then and face Southern on March 5.   
 
Following the regular season, the top eight teams will then head to the 2021 SWAC Tournament. Currently that is scheduled for March 9-12 in Birmingham, Alabama. From there the SWAC Champion will then earn a spot in the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
