CHARLOTTE, N.C. — University of North Alabama redshirt sophomore receiver Takairee Kenebrew of Childersburg, Ala., has been named Big South Conference Player of the Week for his performance in the Lions’ 45-22 win over Charleston Southern Saturday.
Kenebrew caught four passes for 141 yards and three touchdowns in the game, with TD receptions of 59, four and 76 yards.
His second touchdown reception of the day, where he battled a defender for the ball before kicking it to himself while lying on his back in the end zone, earned ESPN SportsCenter Top 10 National Play of the Day.
The game was the second 100-yard receiving game of the year of Kenebrew, as well as his second, three-touchdown game of the year.
He previously had seven catches for 132 yards and three touchdowns in UNA’s season-opener against Southeastern Louisiana.
Fror the season, Kenebrew has 21 catches for 408 yards and six TDs.
