Cross Country Competes at the 2021 GSC Championship Meet Saturday

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – West Alabama men’s and women’s cross country teams are set to compete at the 2021 Gulf South Conference Championship meet Saturday, Oct. 23 at Choctaws Trails in Clinton, Mississippi.

The Gulf South Conference participants are Auburn Montgomery, Christian Brothers, Delta State, Shorter, Mississippi College, Lee, West Georgia, Union, Valdosta State, Alabama Huntsville, Montevallo, West Alabama, and West Florida.

The men’s 8K race starts at 9 a.m. Five Tigers are competing in the event including Kevin Cooley, Seth Lord, Jayson Lynch, Audrick Pyronneau, and Daniel Tully

The women’s 5K follows at 10 a.m., and UWA entries include Zavannah Brown, Jordan Conner, Haina Franco, Jordan Hopkins, Kayley Key, and Alexis Sturdivant

The championship meet will be live streamed here, and fans can follow along here for live results. 

The awards ceremony will follow the women’s 5k race at 11:15 a.m. The teams with the fewest number of accumulated points off individual finishes will be crowned team champions.
