ATLANTA, Ga. – Coffin corner specialist Ryan Duff has been a menace to opposing punt returners the past two weeks, as he was noticed by the conference once again for his second SIAC Special Teams Player of the Week accolade in as many weeks.
The Mobile, Alabama native set new career-highs with seven punts and 278 yards while rocketing a season-best 48-yard boot as well.
A sophomore out of Spanish Fort High School, Duff contributed two punts that were downed inside the Maroon Tigers’ 20, one of which backed MC up within the ten. He has pinned the offense with its back against the endzone seven times this season, six of those coming in the past two weeks versus Clark Atlanta and Morehouse.
Duff and the Golden Tigers will attempt to put last week’s loss in the rearview mirror on Saturday when it squares off against the Central State Marauders in Wilberforce, Ohio.
