ATLANTA, Ga., – North Alabama freshman Emma Broadfoot has been named the ASUN Conference Player of the Week league officials announced on Monday. The third baseman from Danville drove in nine runs on the week, going 5-for-8 at the plate.

All five of Broadfoot’s hits went for extra bases. She started the week with a two-run home run at Alabama State. She later doubled and scored as the Lions picked up the 4-1 victory.

In the first game against Mississippi State, Broadfoot drove in all seven runs for UNA. She had a two-run triple, a two-run home run and a three-run home run. The seven RBI is the most in a single game since North Alabama made the move to the Division I level.

Broadfoot now leads the Lions with a .319 batting average. Her .652 slugging percentage is also fourth in the ASUN.
