CLINTON, Miss. – West Alabama women’s cross country team finished 16th in the women’s 6k race that took place on Choctaw Trails Saturday morning at the Watson Invitational.
Coming across the line first for the Tigers was Jordan Connor in 60th place with a time of 26:25.3. Following Connor was teammate Hainia Franco with a 74th place finish, Kayley Key in 105th, Jordan Hopkins placed 112th, and Alexis Sturdivant finished 153rd.
UWA Women’s Individual’s 6K Results
There were 163 runners in the women’s event with a total of 26 teams. Mississippi College on the women’s 6k race with three runners finishing in the top five. Union was second, followed by Southern Arkansas in third, Alcorn State took fourth place, and Spring Hill rounded out the top five in the 27-field team.
Up next for UWA is the Gulf South Conference Championship meet, hosted by Mississippi College October 23. The race will begin at 10 a.m.
