LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Head Coach Nick Woodruff announced Wednesday the addition of Trey Moore to the West Alabama’s men’s basketball program. The Nebraska native has over 10 years of experience in the game and will serve as a graduate assistant on the Tiger staff.
“We are excited to add Trey to our staff at UWA,” said Woodruff. “He comes from a basketball background and it showed from the first time I spoke with him. He brings a wealth of knowledge of the game and will have a terrific impact on our program.”
Moore joins West Alabama after spending one season as the head junior varsity coach and an assistant varsity coach at Papillion La Vista High School in Omaha, Neb. In those roles, Moore assisted with developing and implementing practice plans, communicating with athletes, and reviewing game film to create scouting reports.
Before Papillion La Vista, Moore spent a season as the assistant coach of the Adams State University men’s basketball program, a season on the Dickinson State University staff, and has almost 10 years of experience as a personal basketball trainer.
Moore graduated from Hastings College in Hastings, Neb. with a 3.5 GPA and a degree in exercise science.
