Men’s Soccer Set for Two-Match Series Against CBU and Union

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The West Alabama men’s soccer team plays two Gulf South Conference matches this weekend against Christian Brothers and Union in Tennessee. 

The Tigers head to Memphis to compete against Christian Brothers Friday at Signaigo Field. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

Heading into the weekend, UWA is 3-5 overall and 1-2 in GSC play.

Christian Brothers are 6-3-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the conference.

Tickets are required for Friday’s match and can be purchased at the gate by cash or check only. General admission for adults will be $5. Children five and under are admitted free. 

After the CBU matchup, the Tigers will battle Union on Sunday at the Smith Memorial Soccer Complex in Jackson. Kickoff will be at 3:30 p.m. The address to Smith Memorial Soccer Complex is 1050 Union University Drive, Jackson, TN 38305.

Union heads into the weekend with a 6-2-2 overall record and is 3-2-1 in the GSC after defeating Spring Hill 2-1 on October 3. Before West Alabama and Union meet on Sunday, the Bulldogs will battle Alabama Huntsville on Friday.

Tickets are required for Sunday’s soccer match and must be purchased ahead of time. Fans can buy tickets through the HomeTown Ticket app or here. General admission will be $5. General admission for students (elementary, middle, high school, and college) is $3. Students must have a college ID present at the gate with the show of their purchased ticket. Children five and under are admitted free, but will still need to have a ticket reserved through the HomeTown Ticket app.
