UAB Baseball Travels to Clemson for Fall Exhibition

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB baseball team hits the road for its first exhibition contest of the fall season when they head to Clemson, S.C. to face Clemson on Saturday, Oct. 16 at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
First pitch between the two teams is slated for 3 p.m. ET. The scrimmage is free and open to the public. Live stats will not be available for the contest.
“I am excited to watch our guys compete for the first time versus another opponent on Saturday,” head coach Casey Dunn said. “Clemson is a historically great program and will give us an idea of where are guys stand at this point of the year.”
The Blazers return 19 players from last year’s squad and welcome 27 newcomers.
NCAA rules allow for schools to play two games against outside competition during the fall. Up next, the Blazers travel to Atlanta, Ga. to face Georgia Tech on Oct. 23 at noon EDT.
