UAB Adds Three New Staff Members

UAB Softball has added three new members to its staff. 

Ashlyn Ingram is the new Director of Operations. She played under Coach Joe Guthrie as an outfielder at Marion Military Institute from 2010-2012. At MMI, she was a 2nd Team All-Conference selection in 2012. Ingram graduated from Judson college in 2015 with a degree in Social Science, where she also played basketball and softball. Ingram was a member of the Alabama National Guard from 2015-2021 and was deployed to the middle east from 2017-2018. Ingram also served as an Assistant Coach at Stillman College from 2018-2020. 
Abbey Parks is the new Student Manager. Abbey played softball at Cowley County CC, and Oklahoma Christian as a catcher. In 2019, she was an All-American Bowler for Oklahoma Christian. She holds a degree in Sports Management. Parks also served as an events intern for USA Softball 2021. She will help with catchers, video analysis, and gameday events.
Lexie Higgins is a Volunteer Assistant Coach. Higgins was a shortstop and third baseman for Samford University from 2015-2018. During her senior season at Samford, Higgins led the team in homeruns, (9) and slugging percentage (.496). Higgins graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Administration. She will coach first base.
