Preview: Troy Soccer Returns Home for Louisiana and Texas State

TROY, Ala. – Troy Soccer returns to the friendly confines of the Troy Soccer Complex for a pair of conference matchups with Louisiana and Texas State Friday and Sunday.
Friday’s kickoff is set for 7 p.m. before the Trojans close out the weekend Sunday at 1 p.m.

  • Troy is 5-6 all-time against Texas State. The Trojans have won the last two meetings, including an opening round win in the 2020 conference tournament.
  • Troy and ULM played a complete first half and the opening two minutes of the second half of Sunday’s matchup. The match was tied 2-2 when a second weather delay halted the match, leading to its eventual postponement. Allison Worley and Gabrielle Chartier looked to have recorded their first career goals, but stats from Sunday’s match will not count. The rescheduled match will start from the beginning.
  • Erin Bloomfield continues to lead the Trojan attack with five goals this season. The freshman has scored all but three of Troy’s goals this season.
  • Bloomfield made her first start against FAU and has not left the starting lineup since.
  • Kate Eubanks missed the last game against FAU after receiving a pair of yellow cards against Jackson State, snapping a 46-games started streak. Eubanks has since returned to the lineup as the starting center back.
