Cross Country Travels South for Azalea City Classic

TROY, Ala. – The Troy men’s and women’s cross country squads will trek to Mobile, Alabama, for the Azalea City Classic Friday at the Old Brookley Golf Course.
Both squads will hit the trails for a 5K trek.  The women will kickstart the evening at 5:50 p.m. while the men will follow at 6:20 p.m.

The women enter the weekend as the reigning Azalea City Classic meet champions. Troy returns two of their top three runners from the meet a year ago in Gracie Booher and Cadi Rowe
Last time out, Gracie Booher led the way placing sixth in 14:46.75. Caroline Sall and Tanner Guest round out Troy’s top-three performers placing 20th and 26th, respectively.
On the men’s side, Blake Vaughn led the way with a 13th-place finish in the 5k. The senior was trailed by sophomore Mason Bennett, who finished just three spots behind Vaughn in 16th.
Men: Mason Bennett, James Brake, Sage Delfino, Ian Dougherty, Michael Marvin, Blake Vaughn and Lance Wells.
Women: Gracie Booher, Teanna Cason, Tanner Guest, Lauren Locke, Caroline Montini, Cadi Rowe, Caroline Sall and Summer Williams.
