Cross Country Set for Queens City Invite

TROY, Ala. – After a week-long hiatus, the Troy men’s and women’s cross country squads will return to the course at the Queens City Invite Friday in Charlotte, N.C.
The women will kick start on their 5k trek through McAlpine Creek Park at 4:15 p.m., with the men’s 8k to follow at 5 p.m.
The reigning Azalea City Classic champions look to make strides without their top runner, Gracie Booher, in the lineup this week. However, Lauren Locke and Caroline Sall both make the trip this weekend landing inside the top-five, placing third and fifth, respectively, last time out.
For the men, their top-three runners return. Blake Vaughn led the way, placing eighth in 16:47.2 while Mason Bennett rounded out Troy’s top-10 finishes placing 10th in 16:53.7. James Brake just missed the top-10, finishing 11th overall in 17:11.9.
Men: Mason Bennett, James Brake, Sage Delfino, Ian Dougherty, Dylan Nelson, Blake Vaughn and Lance Wells.
Women: Teanna Cason, Tanner Guest, Lauren Locke, Caroline Montini, Cadi Rowe and Caroline Sall.
