TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama baseball will travel to Starkville on Friday for an exhibition with reigning national champion Mississippi State. The fall scrimmage highlights the Crimson Tide’s week five schedule.
The matchup between the Tide and Bulldogs is set for a 5 p.m. CT first pitch at Dudy Noble Field. Admission to the scrimmage will be free to all fans with gates opening around first pitch.
Alabama will begin the new week on Tuesday with a 2:15 p.m. practice. Following an off day Wednesday, the team will return to the diamond at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday followed by an intrasquad set for 3:30 p.m. leading up to Friday’s scrimmage in Starkville. Alabama then returns home for an off day on Saturday before using Sunday for another practice-scrimmage split. The Sunday slate begins at 2 p.m. with a 3:15 p.m. first pitch in the intrasquad.
All scrimmages at home are subject to change. The length will be determined on a game-to-game basis. Spaced out between scrimmages are the team’s regularly scheduled practice sessions. Dates and times of all practices and scrimmages for the upcoming week can be found on RollTide.com each Monday.
Admission to Alabama baseball’s on-field activity is free to the public. Fans are asked to enter Sewell-Thomas Stadium through the main gate (Gate 3) located directly behind home plate. Once inside, fans are to stay in the lower bowl seating area with access to the upper levels of the stadium strictly prohibited.
