LIONS DROP 1-0 DECISION TO CENTRAL ARKANSAS

FLORENCE, Ala. — Gracie Hair provided the only goal of the day in the 51st minute and Central Arkansas used it to pick up a 1-0 ASUN Conference women’s soccer win over North Alabama at the Bill Jones Athletic Complex.

The match was scoreless at intermission, as UCA was unable to score on its five shots and the Lions were shutout on their three.

Hair’s goal at the 50:50 mark put the Sugar Bears on top 1-0 and UNA managed just one shot on goal in the remainder of the match.

UNA is now 2-11-2 overall and 1-5 in ASUN play. Central Arkansas is 7-7 overall and 4-2 in the ASUN.

UCA finished with a 13 to seven shot advantage over North Alabama.

UNA’s Payton Yates had four saves in goal.

North Alabama hosts Bellarmine on Thursday in another ASUN Conference contest.
