BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –  The Birmingham-Southern volleyball team ended Hendrix’s undefeated conference start and continued their own win streak. The Panthers had 10 total blocks as a team that pushed them to their 3-0 sweep. 
The first set started off with the Warriors taking the first lead of 2-0 before an ace from Alyssa Coats tied it back up at 2-2. Kills from Gigi Fields, Emily Buhl and Ansleigh Dailey gave the Panthers the lead at 5-2 over Hendrix. The Warriors fought back to tie the set at 9-9. Birmingham-Southern and Hendrix went toe to toe trading points, before back to back kills from Alyssa Coats and an error by the Warriors ended the set 25-22.
The second set was not much different than the first. The Panthers had to fight to take the set. Hendrix again took the early lead 3-0 against Birmingham-Southern. The two teams fought back and forth tying things up at 12-12 before the Warriors took the lead at 19-15. The Panthers fought back to the set at 20-20 and then went on a 5 point run to take the set. A kill from Leah Nielsen, Rominey Willner and two from Gigi Fields ended the set 25-20. 
Birmingham-Southern took the lead in the third set at 6-3. The Panthers managed to keep their lead in the set all the way up to point 22 when Hendrix tied it up. The Warriors held the Panthers at match point until a kill by Kennedy Dickens ended the final set 25-23. 
Birmingham-Southern 10-4 Overall (5-0 SAA), Hendrix 7-5 Overall (4-1 SAA)
