TALLADEGA, AL – Despite the challenges of learning during a global pandemic, the Women’s Soccer program posted a 3.40 cumulative GPA for the Fall 2020 semester. All but one member of the program earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Joseph Tibbs, who was named head coach back in July 2019, had this to say about his team “I am extremely proud of these young women both individually and collectively for demonstrating academic excellence, especially with all the distractions and obstacles they faced last semester. When each student-athlete leaves Talladega, we want them to answer yes to three questions; did you graduate? do you have a job (graduate school) lined up in a career field you’re passionate about? and if given the chance, would you do it all over again? These young women value their education and know that investing time and effort in the classroom now is going to pay dividends long after they hang up their boots.”

The women’s soccer program begins training in February to prepare for what will be a challenging, but exciting Fall 2021 season. Be on the lookout for more information regarding incoming players, the fall 2021 game schedule, and other women’s soccer news.
