Mobile, AL. –  Talladega College scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning for 6-4 victory of the University of Mobile in the opening series.

At the Plate

The K Zone

  •  Julian Fitts faced 27 batters in his five and two-thirds innings outing, striking out three while surrendering eleven hits and four runs. 
  •  Tyler Brown relieved Fitts late in the fifth inning and retired eleven batters only allowing one hit.  In the process putting up his first victory in relief.  
  • Working at the bottom of the ninth was David Padilla. who went a one-third inning and recording a strikeout.

Game Changer

  • Castellanos single and Rodriguez’s double in the ninth got the ball rolling for the Tornadoes and allowed four runs to scored.

On Deck

  • Talladega will finish out the series tomorrow afternoon with the University of Mobile where they will take a 1-0 series advantage with them.
