Talladega, AL– Talladega College is one of the six schools are set to square off next week as Georgia Gwinnett will play host to the A.I.I. Softball Championship at Grizzly Soccer Complex from May 5-7.
Gerogia Gwinnett College, which is currently ranked 11th in the NAIA, leads the field with a 41-15 overall record. Kentucky Christian (28-18) picked up the No. 2 seed for the event. A trio of Iowa schools also earned berths with Ashford (25-22), Clarke (27-21) and Mount Mercy (19-25) earning the third, fourth and fifth seeds. Talladega (9-31) rounds out the selections as the No. 6 seed.
Talladega (9-31) will open up tournament play against Ashford, IA at 11:00 am on May 5th. The tournament winner and runner up will receive automatic bid NAIA National Tournament Opening Round.
