“We weren’t very good on this trip,” said Head Coach Chris Wright. “I’m thankful we found a way to go 2-1. We lost our identity over the 21-day break. We will get back and get to work.”
“I’m happy we found a way to win today,” continued Coach Wright. “It’s hard to win in college basketball on the road, especially when its eight on five.”
Baker finished the night with 20 points and five assists. Williams recorded 13 points and Brice finished with eleven rebounds. Yusuf finished with a double-double earning 12 points and ten rebounds.
Throughout the game the Talladega scoring was very spread out, with contributions coming on offense from most everyone on the floor. Even in the rebounding category the stats were very similar. This one was truly a team effort by Talladega.
The Tornadoes will return to action next Monday when they host Rust College for an GCAC Conference match-up.
