Talladega Survives in Five-Set Thriller

Talladega, AL. – It took five sets, but Talladega Volleyball was victorious on Friday night against Edward  Waters by a set count of 3-2. 

With its nail-biting 3-2 (21-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-13, 15-9) victory, Lady Tornadoes picked up its conference match of the season.   

Reanna Burroughs (SO/Mobile, AL) led a potent Lady Tornadoes attack with 26 kills with nine attack errors and a .361 attack percentage.  Carlesia Nunnally (JR/Lithia Springs, GA)was a force at the net with 12 kills served two aces. Keundra Rembert (JR/Hueytown, AL)contributed 11 kills. Bethany Holland (SR/Atlanta, Ga) dished out 40 assists and picked up sixteen digs.

Talladega outhit Edward Waters .187-.032 over the course of the match.

Talladega returns to action tomorrow, September 29th in an 11 am and 6 p.m. conference matches against Tougaloo College and Southern of New Orleans.
