TALLADEGA NAMES TANAIRA ROUNDS HEAD WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL COACH

Talladega, AL – Talladega College, and Athletic Director Kevin Herod are excited to announce the naming of Tanaira Round as the new Women’s Volleyball Head Coach.

Rounds return to Talladega after serving as the Head Volleyball Coach at Evangel Christian Academy in Shreveport, LA from 2017-2020. At Evangel, Rounds built a successful volleyball program having a 21-3 district record, 2 District Championships, and a District Runner-Up title. Additionally, she served as a skills development trainer for Starlings City of Los Angeles volleyball club.

Los Angeles native, Rounds, played collegiate volleyball at the Alpha Lyrae Vega of them All, Talladega College, where she played Middle Hitter/Blocker (2012-2016). While playing, she ranked Top 20 in Division 1 in Blocks per Game (2012), lead the conference in total blocks (2013), received the Women’s Volleyball Outstanding Leadership Award (2015), and defensive player of the year (2015). During her time in undergrad, Rounds received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology/ Pre-Med, joined Beta Beta Beta National Biological Honor Society, and became a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
