Stillman Track competes at So. Miss Invite

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Stillman College competed in its third outdoor track & field meet of the season, traveling to the Southern Miss Invitational. 


In women’s action, Kamryn Harris ran a PR in the 200-meter (26.92) and 400-meter (1:01.37).


On the men’s side, Willie Washington posted a Top 10 finish in the shot put for the second-straight week. His 13.34-meter throw was 10th overall and second among NAIA athletes. Dillard’s Jonathan Kitchen was ninth with a 13.46m throw. 


Washington also competed in the discus with a collegiate personal record 27.01 meters throw. 


Desmond Harris ran a collegiate PR in the 400-meter in 54.21. Quinderrius Malone matched his 200-meter PR (25.16) from the previous week and ran a PR 55.43 in the 400-meter. 


Shane Jackson competed in the 200-meter (26.37), shot put (7.33m) and discus throw (22.51m) for the first time as a Stillman Tiger.


Stevon McCullough also competed for the Tigers, running the 100-meter dash in 11.99. 


Stillman College is scheduled to next compete at the University of Mobile Invitational on April 17 at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex.
