Recap

Talladega, AL. – The Lady Tornadoes swept NCAA Divison II opponent Ft, Valley State on Tuesday afternoon.

At The Dish

  • Three Talladega batters had multi-hit games as Isabella Duran, and Maya Canul led the way, going 3-4 at the dish. Canul drove in four runs.  Chyloe Gonzalez (3-5)  and scored three runs. 
  • Six Talladega batters had at least one hit,

 
The K Zone

  • Bryann Welch started in the circle for Northwestern as she went on to throw a complete game of 6.0 innings only allowing two earned runs on six hits, and struck out five. 

Game Changer

  • The most significant difference maker in this contest came in the fifth and sixth inning.  Talladega scored 12 runs off eight hits. 
  • Talladega recorded a solid day defensively as well recording zero errors in the contest compared to Ft. Valley three.

At The Dish

  • Leading the Talladega offensive attack in game one was Chyloe Gonzalez who finished the contest going 4-for-4 with two total runs and two overall RBIs, 
  • Emerald Coachman and Vanessa Oakley posted an impressive stat line both going 1-for-3 with three runs scored and six RBIs, 
  • Isabella Duran and Maya Canul each were able to record one RBI of their

  • Anthonia Cooper started things off in the circle and went a strong 5.0 total innings only giving up two earned runs and two hits 

 

Game Changer

  • Talladega cruise to an early 5-0 led, Scored seven more runs in the fourth and fifth inning for the final scored 12-0
  • Talladega was able to bomb three home runs during the match-up which certainly proved to be a difference maker.
