Baseball Splits Saturday with No. 17 Middle Georgia

Macon, GA. – Talladega Baseball earned their third win of the 2019 season 6-1 over No. 15 Middle Georgia in the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader but lost in the rubber match 15-2 in the evening game.

Talladega scored one run, three in the third and single runs eight and nine innings,  Wilkin Louishad two hits and adding two RBI’s.  Luis Berriospickup the victory for Talladega and allowed one run on six hits in the five and two-third innings.  David Padilla(2.1 IP) and Robin Ventura (1.0 IP) came on in relief for Cantwell and combined to throw the final two innings – both of which holding Middle Georgia to no runs in the process.

Not the start Talladega Baseball was looking for in the rubber match against Middle Georgia. The Tornadoes were run-ruled in seven innings 15-2 while collecting seven hits.  The Tornadoes pitchers combined for eleven walks and ten hits.   Demarcus Reidand Manuel Caballero combined for two hits apiece.
