Date: June 24
Meet: U.S. Olympic Team Trials
Host: The University of Oregon
Site: Hayward Field (Eugene, Ore.)

Head Coach Paul Brueske

– On Fluker’s performance: “Fluker did what she needed to do to advance. I believe she has a much bigger throw in her yet. She just needs to go out and compete the way she is capable of on Saturday. She showed some poise today. Wilson from UCLA and her were the only two collegiate athletes to advance to the finals.”

Senior Tata Fluker
– On today’s performance: “Competing in the Olympic Trials and regionals is one of the hardest competition ever because you only have three throws instead of six. My plan was to relax, but I wasn’t as relaxed as I wanted to be. My mentality going into Saturday is to be relaxed and throw as far as I can. I don’t want to overthink, so I’m going to just compete against myself and represent.”
