RICHARDSON, Texas – Mary Claire Henry recorded a season high 10 saves in the Panthers 1-0 loss to Pacific University today, Saturday, Sept. 11. The Panther offense struggled to get anything going as they recorded a total of six shots and only getting one on goal.

The Boxers of Pacific University came ready to play as they recorded seven shots before BSC was able to get off their first. Henry stood strong and did not allow any to find the back of the net keeping the Panthers even with Pacific early. Henry was able to keep a clean sheet for the majority of the first half, but the Boxers found a way to net a goal in the 43rd minute. After Pacific was fouled outside the 18-yard box they were awarded a free kick. On the ensuing kick Peyton Seals netted the lone goal of the game.

The Panthers would go into halftime trailing 1-0.

The Boxers did not let up as they continued to fire 13 more shots in the second half. Henry again played spectacular in net and did not allow a goal. With the spectacular play in net by Mary Claire the Panthers tried to use that momentum on the offensive end but could not get much going.

The Panthers fell in their final game of the Comet Classic 1-0.
