UM falls 3-1 to VSU

OXFORD, Ala. – The Montevallo softball team ended their season with a 3-1 loss to Valdosta State Friday, in the GSC Tournament.  The Falcons conclude their season with a 18-26 record, while going 12-19 in conference while securing the programs first ever post season victory.

The Falcons opened up scoring in the second inning after a Hannah Carey solo homer gave UM their first run.  VSU managed to tie the game in their next at bat answering UM with a homer of their own.  

The Blazers took a two run lead after a two run homer in the fourth gave VSU the advantage 3-1.  The Falcons battled but could not outlast the Blazers as Valdosta held on for the win.

The Falcons were led by Brooke Ingram who went two for three at the plate.  Kinley Adams led UM with six plays while the team as a whole committed zero errors.

Mychael McMillan was in the circle for the Falcons for six innings allowing five hits, three runs, three strikeouts, and a walk.
